John J. MacKenzie died unexpectedly Thursday at the Lahey Hospital in Burlington.
He was born in Nova Scotia, Canada, July 18, 1946, a son of Catherine (MacKenzie) MacKenzie of Christmas Island, Canada and the late John J. MacKenzie and moved to Billerica in 1970 from Cape Breton, Canada.
Mr. MacKenzie was the Owner and Founder of MacKenzie Mobile Electronics in Billerica since 1973.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his sons, Darrell MacKenzie and his wife Amy and Kirk MacKenzie and his wife Brenda all of Billerica; his brother, Alexander MacKenzie of Watertown; his sisters, Peggy O’Neill of Waltham the late Rhodena MacKenzie of Christmas Island, Canada and Betty MacKenzie of Christmas Island, Canada; grandfather of Evan, Alex, R.J., Ashlynn, Alyssa, Keira and Liana and his longtime companion, Susan Baxendale of Tyngsborough. He was the father of the late Karlena MacKenzie.
MacKenzie – Of Billerica, June 9, John J. MacKenzie. A Memorial Mass will be held Friday at St. Mary Church, 133 School St., Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be held at Mt. Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
