Obituary for Richard L. Strunk
Retired Billerica Police Lieutenant Richard L. Strunk – Age 74, husband of the late Patricia (Kavanagh) Strunk died Saturday, March 26, at his home in Tamarac, FL surrounded by his family.
He was born in Malden, September 12, 1941, a son of the late Edward F. and Margaret V. (Crowley) Strunk and lived in Medford and Billerica before moving to Florida.
Mr. Strunk attended Lowell Technological Institute and Anna Maria College. He started his employment with the Billerica Police Department in 1968 and retired as a Lieutenant in 2001. He was a member of the Tamarac Moose Club, the Billerica Thomas Talbot Lodge A.F. & A.M. and the Billerica Lodge of Elks #2071.
He is survived by his daughter, Gail Lachs and her husband Steven of Tyngsborough; his grandchildren, Mitchell and Morgan Lachs, Thomas Reis and Samantha Quigley; his longtime loving companion, Colleen Wojcik of Dracut; his stepdaughter, Debby Quigley and her husband Jim of Mashpee; his brothers, Donald Strunk of Danvers and Daniel Strunk and his wife, Kathleen of IL, his sister, Phyllis LaVita of Lancaster, sister-in-law, Nancy Strunk of Billerica and brother-in-law Don Kuperman of Hanover. He was the father of the late Gregory Strunk and brother of the late Thomas Strunk and Lorraine Kuperman.
STRUNK – Of Tamarac, FL, formerly of Billerica and Medford, March 26, Richard L. Strunk, A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, April 9 at St. Theresa Church, 465 Boston Rd., Billerica at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
