Obituary for Walter F. Rideout
Walter F. Rideout, age 93, beloved husband of the late Edna J. (Cull) Rideout died Tuesday at the Lowell General Hospital.
He was born in Westborough, MA January 8, 1922, a son of the late Walter F. and Mary (Goularte) Rideout and lived in Walpole and Cambridge before moving to Billerica in 1954.
Mr. Rideout served in the US Navy during WW II attaining the rank of Chief Torpedo man and was a pipefitter for Harris Environmental in Andover for 40 years.
He was a former member of the Thomas Talbot Lodge A.F. & A.M. in Billerica and the Aleppo Shrine in Wilmington.
He is survived by two sons, Paul Rideout and his wife Phyllis of Tierra Verde, FL and David Rideout and his wife Jennifer of Billerica; one daughter, Susan Michelini and her husband Jim of Chelmsford; one sister, Marie O’Brien of Westborough; seven grandchildren, Douglas, Gregory, Jeffrey, Christopher and Jacqueline Rideout, Jessica Mendez and James Michelini and four great-grandchildren.
RIDEOUT – Of Billerica, formerly of Walpole and Cambridge, Nov 17. Walter F. Rideout. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday in the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 1 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Friday from 4 – 7 p.m. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
