Obituary for Thomas A. McGarry Sr.
Thomas A. McGarry Sr., age 79, beloved husband of Sandra L. Brennan died Tuesday at their home after a brief illness. He was born in West Newton, March 23, 1935 a son of the late Patrick J. and Nora (Quirk) McGarry and lived in Billerica for 43 years before moving to Seabrook 23 years ago. Mr. McGarry was a well known local night club owner, was involved with building homes and was a member of the Billerica Lodge of Elks. Besides his wife he is survived by five sons, Thomas McGarry Jr. of FL, Daniel McGarry of Salem, NH, Michael McGarry of Tyngsboro, Thomas Brennan of Rochester, NH and Ryan Brennan of Nashua; four daughters, Dorothy Keane of Dracut, Renee’ Gillis, Stacey McDonald and Keryn Brennan all of Billerica; one brother Joseph McGarry of Framingham; two sisters, Dorothy Cole of TX and Barbara Rizza of West Newton as well as his former wife and friend Frances McGarry of Billerica. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Brian McGarry and brother of the late Mary Duffy. McGarry, Sr. Funeral Saturday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 9:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Theresa Church, Billerica at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Friday from 5 – 8 p.m. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
