Obituary for Dorothy F. Baublis
Dorothy F. Baublis
Loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend
BILLERICA – Dorothy F. (Jukins) Baublis, beloved wife of the late Edward L. Baublis died Wednesday at her home, surrounded by her daughters, after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer.
She was born in Lawrence, MA on February 6, 1933, a daughter of the late Romeo and Helen Jukins, and lived in Methuen and Nashua before moving to Billerica in 1963.
As a young woman, Dottie worked as a dental assistant. After she met and married the love of her life Eddie, she spent many wonderful years raising, loving, and nurturing her three daughters Patty, Lisa and Kim. When her girls got older, Dottie worked in sales for the former Jordan Marsh Company for 20 years, before her retirement.
Dottie loved spending time with her family. She took great pride in keeping the family home looking beautiful and enjoyed having family and friends over for holidays and special occasions... and there were many! When she wasn't keeping her house in order or visiting with neighborhood friends Joy and Kay, Dottie enjoyed playing tennis with husband Eddie, and with Joy and a group of women for Round Robin tennis matches.
Dorothy is survived by her three daughters, Patricia Cooper and her husband James of Londonderry, NH, Lisa Vladimirov of Manchester, NH, and Kimberly Baublis of Billerica; one sister, Joan Rimas and her husband Charles of Methuen, and three grandchildren, James Cooper and his wife Katherine of Manchester, NH, and Matthew Cooper and Patrick Cooper, both of Londonderry, NH, and many other close family and friends that loved her. She was the sister of the late Sr. Barbara Jukins.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 5th, at the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 8:30-9:30 followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Church, Billerica at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dottie's name, to a local charity that holds special meaning to the donor.
