Christine “Chrissy” M. (Patterson) Regan, age 52, of Billerica, passed away peacefully on Friday December 26, 2025 after a long and courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer. She was the loving mother of Molly, Brendan and Danny Regan, who were the center of her world. Wife of John F. Regan of Billerica.
Christine was born on April 21, 1973, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, to Janet M. (Stanton) Patterson of Arlington and the late Francis J. Patterson. She grew up in Arlington and graduated from Arlington High School in 1991. Christine went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Saint Anselm College in 1995, beginning a career that defined her life and purpose.
Being a registered nurse meant everything to Christine. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to caring for others, working for 24 years at Tufts Medical Center in cardiology, followed by 9 years at Boston Eye Surgery and Laser Center. Most recently, she worked as a Clinical Quality RN at Amwell, where her compassion, patience, and commitment to advocacy for her patients continued to shine.
Above all else, Christine was a mother first. Her greatest accomplishment and deepest joy were her three children. Her life revolved entirely around them, and she gave herself fully to motherhood with unwavering love and devotion. Whether she was cheering from the stands at a hockey game, planning family trips, offering guidance and encouragement, or simply cracking a joke to make them laugh, Christine was always present, always supportive, and always proud.
She celebrated every milestone, big or small, and took immense pride in watching Molly, Brendan, and Danny grow into the people they are today. She was their biggest cheerleader, fiercest protector, and constant source of comfort. Her love for her children was boundless and unconditional, and being their mom was the role she cherished most in life.
Christine will be remembered for her incredible strength, her kindness, her sense of humor, and the deep love she shared with her family. Her legacy lives on through her children and all those whose lives she touched with her compassion and care.
Christine is survived by her husband, John F. Regan; her cherished children, Molly, Brendan, and Danny Regan, who were the light of her life; her loving mother, Janet M. (Stanton) Patterson of Arlington; her brother, Brian F. Patterson and his wife, Eileen Purcell, of Arlington, and their children, Riley, Brian, and Sean; as well as her many other family members. She was predeceased by her father, Francis J. Patterson.
Visiting hours will be held Friday, January 2, 2026 at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 3 – 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, January 3, 2026 at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish at St. Theresa Church, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Interment in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Regan Children C/O Eastern Bank, 370 Main St., Wilmington, MA 01887, a fund established in Christine’s memory to support her children’s education.
