Annette L. Ducharme-Rosander, age 86, died peacefully Wednesday, November 26 at the Lowell General Hospital. A devoted mother, loving grandmother and great grandmother, and passionate animal lover, Annette touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

She lived a life full of compassion, kindness, and an unyielding love for her family and animals. Her heart was always open to any creature in need—especially dogs. She made sure no animal ever went without love, care, or a home.

Annette was known for her generosity and her ability to make everyone around her feel like family. She enjoyed spending time with her family and quiet moments in her garden, she cherished life’s simple pleasures.

She was born in Somerville, December 12, 1938, a daughter of the late Theodore and Lucy (Amenta) Corrieri and was raised in Somerville and moved to Billerica 64 years ago.

Annette was employed as a Food Director for the former Varian Company in Woburn for 20 years prior to her retirement.

Annette is survived by her loving companion, Frank Rosander of Billerica; her daughters, Rhonda Ducharme of Billerica and Linda Vassil of Meredith, NH; her grandsons and their wives, Peter and Erin Vassil and Evan and Hailey Vassil; her great grandchildren, Evelyn, Finn, Holden, Mason and Dean and her extended family, Joe Maniscalco, Peter and Maureen Vassil, and Alberto, Grace and Abigale Parker. She was the former wife of the late Francis Ducharme.

She leaves behind a loving family, as well as countless friends, both human and animal. Her legacy will live on through the animals she helped, the lives she touched, and the love she gave so freely.

Rest in peace, Mom. You’ve earned your wings, and we know you're already surrounded by the animals you loved so much. You will be forever in our hearts.
