Roberta Jo Anne “Bobbie-Jo” St. John age 57, died unexpectedly, Wednesday November 12 at her home after a period of declining health.
She was born in Stoneham, November 18, 1967 a daughter of the late Robert and Theresa (Langley) St. John and has been a Billerica resident for over 30 years.
Prior to her retirement Bobbie-Jo was a Union Organizer for Local 25 and was a member of St. Michael’s Parish in Bedford where she was an active volunteer. She was a fierce advocate for women’s rights and the LGBTQ community, using her voice and taking action to help elect leaders at the state and federal level. Of all the roles she held in life, none meant more to her than being a mom. She devoted her heart and soul to her children, whose lives are a reflection of her endless love and care.
She is survived by her two beloved children, Robert Maynard and his partner John Kacher of Stow and Mackenzie Maynard and her fiancé John O’Donoghue of Seymour CT; two sisters, Charlene Mountcastle of Chelmsford and Kim Moore of Sarasota, FL; her former husband Luke Maynard of Billerica as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
A Graveside Service will be held Monday, November 24, 2025, at Woodlawn Cemetery, 320 Elm St., Everett, at 10am. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Please meet at the Chapel parking lot.
