Richard J. Giordano – age 81, beloved husband of Annette M. (Ippolito) Giordano died Saturday, August 31 at the Lahey Hospital in Burlington after a brief illness.
He was born in Winthrop, August 21, 1943 the son of the late Angelo and Josephine (Postizzi) Giordano and was raised in E. Boston and moved to Billerica 54 years ago.
Richard was employed for Filenes Department Store and late worked for the former Schottenstein Department Stores in Columbus, Ohio prior to his retirement.
Besides his wife, Richard is survived by his two sons, Richard Giordano and his wife Teresa of Chelmsford and Mark Giordano and his wife Sharon of Merrimack, NH and his three grandchildren, Maria, James and Elijah Giordano.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday, September 5 at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish at St. Theresa Church at 1 p.m. Memorial contributions may in Richard’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org
