Karen M. (Kelly) Doucet, age 74, passed away on Saturday, August 10th at her home in Acton, MA.
Born in Cambridge, MA on August 30, 1949, Karen grew up in Burlington, MA and was the daughter of the late James and Catherine (Nelson) Kelly.
For many years, Karen worked in life sciences as a laboratory quality control technician. A proud Grandmother, she loved spending time with her grandkids, playing cards, mini-golf and watching movies. Her hobbies included a joy for solving all puzzles and passionately rooting for Boston sports to numerous championships. She’ll always be remembered for her loving, caring and supportive personality.
Karen is survived by her son, Michael Doucet and his wife Christine of Orange, California; her daughter, Katherine ‘Katie’ Schlehuber and her husband George of Billerica; her sister, Kathleen Norconk and her husband Jim of Leesburg, Virginia; grandchildren, Ryan and Sean Schlehuber, both of Billerica and Charles Doucet of Orange, California. In addition to her parents, Karen was predeceased by her brother, Kevin Kelly.
A graveside service will be held in Pine Haven Cemetery, 84 Bedford Street, Burlington on Friday, August 16th at 12:30 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
