Loretta A. King – age 81, beloved wife of Deacon Clifford D. King died peacefully Wednesday, July 17 at the Winchester Hospital.
She was born in Woburn, December 11, 1942, a daughter of the late Frederick and Rose (Lancellotte) Hill and was raised in Woburn and later moved to Billerica 54 years ago.
Throughout her life Loretta owned many companies including cleaning commercial properties, day care and teaching ceramics, she was also employed at the former Kmart in Billerica. She was an active member of St. Thomas of Villanova Church in Wilmington.
Besides her husband, Loretta is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Henderson and her husband John of Mt. Holly, NC; her son, Clifford “Kip” D. King Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Wakefield; her brothers, Kenneth Hill and Robert Hill of Maine, Mark Hill of Townsend and Donald Hill of Boston; her sister, Linda Ash of TN and is also survived by her seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter. She was the sister of the late Richard and Frederick Hill.
Visiting hours will be held Monday, July 22 at St. Thomas Church, 126 Middlesex St., Wilmington from 4-7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Church Tuesday, July 23 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Loretta’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org Her burial will take place at the Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
