Obituary for Joan C. Kilday
Joan C. (Conlon) Kilday- Age 83, wife of the late Thomas J. Kilday died Wednesday at her daughter’s home in Brookline, NH.
She was born in Fitchburg, May 24, 1934, a daughter of the late John and Sarah (Gillis) Conlon and lived in Fitchburg before moving to Billerica 56 years ago.
Mrs. Kilday was employed as a Career Counselor at the University of Massachusetts in Lowell prior to her retirement. She was an active member of St. Theresa Church, having been the first female Eucharistic Minister, a Homebound Minister and a member of the Women’s Club and leading Bereavement Group. She was a Lifetime member of the Girl Scouts of U.S.A. and the Billerica Garden Club.
She is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Moynihan and her husband James of Brookline, NH and Elizabeth Kilday and her husband Dave Roche of Haverhill; her sons, Michael Kilday and his wife Sandra of Duxbury, Thomas Kilday and his wife Debby of Brookline and Daniel Kilday and his wife Teresa of Oakland, NJ; her brother, James Conlon of Leominster and is also survived by her 13 grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Irene DiTommaso, Ann M. Buescher and Jack and Edward Conlon.
KILDAY – Of Billerica, Feb. 21, Joan C. (Conlon) Kilday, A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, March 3 at St. Theresa Church, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to Mass and a Celebration of Joan’s life at Billerica Country Club following burial at Fox Hill Cemetery Billerica.
