GRIFFIN – Of Billerica, formerly of Stoneham and Somerville. Sept. 1, David F. Griffin, also known as Mr. Dave to those he worked with at Somerville Public Schools. Beloved husband of Bonnie R. (Childs) Griffin. Father of Christopher Griffin and his wife Melissa of Billerica. Brother of John Griffin of NH and the late James and Timothy Griffin. Grandfather of Ryan, Devin and Cameron. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Funeral Friday from the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd. Billerica at 8 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Theresa Church at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4-7 p.m. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers, may be made to The Cam Neely Foundation, 30 Winter Place, Boston, MA 02108 or the Waltham Youth Hockey Benevolent Fund, c/o Mark Hickey, 46 Shirley Rd., Waltham, MA 02452. Burial in the Mass Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon. Mr. Griffin proudly served in the U.S. Army.
