Obituary for Nancy L. Nickerson
Nancy L. (Fall) Nickerson
Beloved Mother, Nana, and Sister
Nancy L. (Fall) Nickerson, age 83, passed away on Thursday, November 18th at Lowell General Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert D. Nickerson with whom she enjoyed 60 years of marriage until his passing in 2020.
Nancy was born in Lowell on June 29, 1938. She was the daughter of the late Earl and Ruth Fall. Nancy raised her family on the same street in North Billerica where she grew up. She was a member of the first graduating class of Billerica Memorial High School, Class of 1956 and a member of the North Billerica Baptist church. Over her lifetime, Nancy worked at Ratheon of Bedford and the offices of Purity Supreme and Verifine.
If you met Nancy, you had a lifelong friend. She remained close with many people she met in her life. It was always as if no time had passed and distance meant nothing.
Nancy’s favorite color was yellow. She loved holidays, any gathering with family, extended family or friends, giving sweaters for gifts and her cat Jam. Her greatest love was her family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her world. She never missed a chance to cheer them on at a game, performance or any event they participated in. She was their biggest fan. She was very proud of each and every one of them. If you ever met her, you have most likely heard a story about one or all of them. They were the consistent topic in her conversations.
Nancy is survived by her three children Roy D. Nickerson and his wife Mary (Moriarty) of Billerica, Robin Callery and her husband Daniel of Dracut, and Carla Nickerson and her companion Phil Hilton of Billerica. Her beloved grandchildren, Jay Moriarty, Erin, Ryan, Nellie and Michael Nickerson, Colby and Riley Callery, and Connor Nickerson. Her two great grandchildren Daniel and Julia Moriarty. She will be missed by her sister Janet Murray of Louisiana, whom she talked to every day. Her brother Thomas Fall and his companion Carol Simard of Chelmsford. She also left many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Visiting hours will be held Sunday at the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 2 – 5 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held Monday at the North Billerica Baptist Church, 39 Old Elm St., North Billerica at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
