Obituary for James E. Duncan
James E. Duncan – Age 83, beloved husband of Brenda A. (McCabe) Duncan died Wednesday, July 21 at the Lahey Hospital in Burlington with his family at his side.
He was born in Malden, December 27, 1937, a son of the late Peter D. and Eileen V. (McGinn) Duncan and was raised in Everett, before moving to Belmont and most recently to Billerica.
James proudly served in the U.S. Army obtaining the rank of Second Lieutenant and was in the Army Corps of Engineers after graduating from Norwich University.
James was employed as a Mechanical Engineer at the former Foxboro Company and later worked at the Krohne Company prior to his retirement.
Besides his wife, James is survived by his daughters, Jeanne Teehan and Mary Penta both of Billerica; his sister, Brenda Duncan of Salem, NH and his grandchildren, Marc Penta, Meaghan, Courtney and Matthew Teehan.
A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, August 6 at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish at St. Theresa Church, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica at 10 a.m. Relative and friends respectfully invited. Memorial contributions may be made in James’ name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.
