Obituary for William B. Lafferty
NASHUA, NH – William B. “Billy” Lafferty, age 59, beloved longtime companion of Carolyn Burke died Thursday at their home with Carolyn and his daughter Rachael by his side.
He was born in Lowell, February 26, 1961 a son of Caroline A. (Williams) Lafferty of Billerica and the late John C. Lafferty and lived in Billerica and Lowell before moving to Nashua.
Billy served in the US Army National Guard was a fork lift operator for Geo. McQuestin Co, a Division of Hood Industries for 30 years and more recently Cooperative Reserve Supply in Billerica’s Iron Horse Park and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Besides his longtime companion Carolyn Burke, he is survived by his daughter, Rachael Donahue and her husband Joseph of Townsend; one brother, John Lafferty and his wife Barbara of Woburn; three sisters, Carolyn Freeman of FL, Victoria Kinsman and her husband Jack of Tewksbury and Shelia Lafferty of UT; his former wife, Darlene (Deshler) Lafferty as well as two grandchildren, William and Bayleigh. He was the brother-in-law of the late William Freeman.
It being his request private burial with military honors took place at Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack St. Lawrence, MA 01843.
