Obituary for Matthew A. Nerney
BEDFORD – Matthew A. Nerney, age 39, died unexpectedly Sunday at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington .
He was born in Winchester , December 19, 1977 a beloved son of Mary Ellen (Kelley) Nerney of Bedford and the late Paul L. Nerney and was a lifelong Bedford resident.
Matthew was a graduate of Bedford High School and Westfield State University. He worked as a Regional Sales Manager for Rivet and Eyelet Technologies.
Besides his mother he is survived by one brother, Paul Nerney Jr. and his wife Carol of Manchester, NH; one sister, Cindy Donovan and her husband John of Billerica; two nephews Tristan Nerney and Aiden Donovan as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by his extended family of friends whom he loved very much.
Matthew’s proudest accomplishment in his short life was being an uncle to his two favorite boys. His infectious laugh, sense of humor and sweet smile will be missed by all who knew him.

Funeral Friday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd. , Billerica at 8 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Theresa Church, Billerica at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4 – 7 p.m. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery , Billerica . In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
