Obituary for Kenneth F. Florence
BILLERICA – Kenneth F. Florence, age 87, beloved husband of the late Jean G. (Gonsalves) Florence died Sunday at his home with his family by his side.
He was born in Winchester, November 15, 1928 a son of the late William E. Jr. and Edith M. (Boates) Florence and has lived in Billerica for over 50 years.
Mr. Florence was the Security Officer for the Shawsheen Valley Technical High School in Billerica for over 20 years.
In his spare time he enjoyed watching the Red Sox, Westerns, collecting coins, and spending time with his family and pets.
The last surviving member of a family of 15 children, he is survived by two sons, Scott Florence and his wife Kristen of N. Chelmsford and Wayne Florence of Billerica, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday at the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 4 – 7 p.m. A Graveside Service will be held Thursday at St. Patrick Cemetery, 120 Elm St. Stoneham, MA at 10:30 a.m. Please meet inside the gate no later than 10:15 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jimmy Fund, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02294
