Obituary for William W. Goday
BILLERICA – William W. “Bill” Goday, age 78, beloved husband of Catherine A. (Volpe) Goday, died Saturday at their home surrounded by his family. He was born in Boston, March 31, 1935, a son of the late William A. and Helen M. (Lamphier) Goday and has been a lifelong Billerica resident. Mr. Goday attended Billerica schools, graduated from the Howe High School with the class of 1953, worked for the J. E. Farmer Co. in Billerica for over 40 years retiring as a foreman and most recently he worked for Auto Zone in Billerica. He was a former member of the Billerica Lodge of Elks, the Knights of Columbus and the Moose Club. Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, William W. Goday Jr. and his wife Jeanmarie of Milford, NH and Michael Goday of Dracut; two daughters, Catherine Tello and her husband John of Tewksbury and Joni Hatem of Haverhill; four grandchildren, Kristin, Tiffany, Kimberly and Ashley as well as two great-grandchildren, Joshua and Nathan. GODAY – Of Billerica, Dec. 28, William W. “Bill” Goday. Visiting hours will be held Monday at the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 4 – 7 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. It being his request all other services will be private and held at the convenience of his family.
