Obituary for William T. "Billy" Morris
Capt. William T. “Billy” Morris – BFD retired, age 59, beloved husband of Joan (Messer) Morris. He found his way to heaven on Friday, July 31st after a long illness.
He was born in Westfield, MA Sept 10, 1955, a son of Madelon (Jordan) Morris of Billerica and the late Frederick Morris and was a longtime Billerica resident before moving to Tyngsboro 28 years ago.
Mr. Morris served in the US Army and later joined the Billerica Fire Department November 28, 1982 and retired as a Captain on August 15, 2009.
Besides his wife and mother he is survived by two daughters, Bonnie I’Anson and her husband Scott of Pelham, NH and Laurie Bourassa of Tyngsboro; three grandchildren, Linsey, Ryan and Chelsea; three great-grandchildren, Zoey, Colby and Matty; one brother, Paul Morris of Pepperell and his children Cathy and Fred Morris; his sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Terri and Paul Jalbert and Sharon Connor all of Lowell as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of his Life will be held Sunday at the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 51 Blossom St. Boston, MA 02114.
