William O. Kelley Sr. – age 88, died peacefully Sunday, September 7 with his family at his side.
He was born in Somerville, September 29, 1936, a son of the late William F. and Mary R. (Crowley) Kelley and lived in Billerica all of his life.
He was a employed for the Bedford Department of Public Works for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed playing cards at the Billerica Elks and the VFW Eggo Post in Billerica and worked part time at the Billerica Country Club.
He is survived by his sons, William O. Kelley Jr. and his wife Julie of Billerica and David Kelley also of Billerica; his longtime companion, Janice Diehsner of Billerica; his sisters, Patricia Hourihan of Chelmsford, Joan Loncich of Billerica and Mary Ellen Nerney of Billerica and his four grandchildren, Madison, William, Summer and Taylor. He also leaves behind his many nieces, nephews and close friends. He was the brother of the late Edward, Owen and George Kelley, Carol McKenna and Rosemary King.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, September 11 at the Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Rd., Billerica at 12:30 p.m.
