Obituary for William L. Ambrose
Billerica– William L. “Bill” Ambrose, age 54, beloved husband of Donna G. (Pilgrim) Ambrose died Monday at the Community Hospice House surrounded by his family after a brief illness. He was born in Newton, March 9, 1960 a son of Ann L. (Stacey) Ambrose of Punta Gorda, FL and the late James P. Ambrose Sr. and lived Billerica for many years before moving to Derry, NH and most recently Manchester, NH for the past 7 years. Mr. Ambrose was a machinist for J & D Machine in Manchester for the past 12 years but mostly enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Besides his wife he is survived by one son, Steven Ambrose of Billerica; two daughters, Kelly Ambrose and her companion Brandon Nicholas of Billerica and Kathleen Howarth and her husband Ryan of Lowell; two brothers, James Ambrose and his wife Dana of Billerica and John Ambrose and his wife Donna of Londonderry, NH; one sister, Melissa Evans of Punta Gorda, FL; five grandchildren, Ryan Nicholas and Jayson, Kaydence, Jayda and Nathan Howarth; two step-sons, Don Pilgrim of Cape Cod and Ronald Gore Jr. of Revere; one step-daughter, Kelly Pilgrim of Revere as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral Friday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 8 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Mary’s Church, Billerica at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4 – 7 p.m. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
