SCANLAN, WILLIAM J. – Of Billerica and Edgewater, FL, unexpectedly and surrounded by his family Jan. 24. Beloved husband of Josephine (O’Donnell) Scanlan of Manchester, England. Devoted father of Johanne (Scanlan) Thompson and her husband Jeffrey of Billerica and Timothy Scanlan and his wife Lori of Richmond, NH. Loving Grandad of Moira and William Thompson. Brother of John E. Scanlan of Lowell. Former Member of the Board of Trustees at Malden Catholic High School. Construction Superintendent for CB Westgate, Medford and Duffy Bros., Waltham. Funeral Wednesday from the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 9 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Theresa’s Church, Billerica at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 4 – 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in William’s name to Malden Catholic High School, 99 Crystal St., Malden, MA 02148. Interment in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
