Obituary for William G. Alberghene
William G. Alberghene - Age 92, husband of the late Eleanor A. (King) Alberghene died Saturday at the Palm Manor Nursing Home in Chelmsford.
He was born in Canton, October 15, 1917, the son of the late Oscar V. and Irene (Cannon) Alberghene and lived in Billerica for 63 years.
Mr. Alberghene worked as a Machinist for local Mills and the U.S. Government. He retired as the Department Head of the Machine Shop at the Greater Lowell Vocational School having worked over 30 years. He served as the former President of the Teacher's Union. He was also a member of the Billerica K of C and received the Knight of the Year award.
He is survived by his son, Ernest Alberghene and his wife Mary (McCarthy) of Derry, NH and his daughter, Judith Feltus of Harvard; 7 grandchildren, Peter Feltus, Theresa May, Mimi Canales, Sharon Lareau, Mona Milotte, Ernie and Bill Alberghene. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Alberghene was the brother of the late Derrin and Bruce Alberghene, Janet Archibald, Elna Matthews and Naida Lambert.
ALBERGHENE - Of Billerica, Jan. 9, William G. Alberghene, Visiting hours will be held Tuesday at the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 3-7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday at St. Mary's Church at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell.
