William A. Rubino – Age 69, beloved husband of Janet (Romeo) Rubino died peacefully at his home on Saturday, December 21 after a long illness.
He was born in Somerville, June 19, 1955, a son of the late Anthony and Florence (Knapinski) Rubino, was raised in Arlington and later moved to Billerica where he purchased his first home and raised his family.
Bill was a dedicated employee with Compugraphic for 23 years and spent the last ten employed at Kasalis. His loyalty, passion and commitment to his work was unprecedented. Bill greeted his co-workers every day with a smile and a “happy daily message”.
Growing up Bill enjoyed many outdoor activities including skiing, snowmobiling, fishing, and boating. He also made many extensive motorcycle trips with friends, cross-country and abroad.
He met his wife Janet in 1982 and they’ve been happily married for 36 years. In 1990 they welcomed their son Chris. Together the family enjoyed many summers at their vacation home in New Hampshire doing all the outdoor activities that Bill loved so much. He enjoyed his annual fish weekend with his friends for over 40 years. He worked as a Buyer for most of his career and
couldn’t resist a “bargain”. He had a great sense of humor and was never without a good quip.
Bill is survived by his wife Janet (Romeo) Rubino, his son, Christopher W. Rubino and his fiancée Lauren and their daughter Willow A. Rubino of NJ; his brother, Richard Rubino of North Reading.
A Celebration of Bill’s life will be held Saturday, January 11th at the Café Escadrille in Burlington MA from 12:30- 4:30, friends and families are welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bill’s name to the Cancer Center at Emerson Health Hospital in Concord MA.
