Obituary for Wilfred H. "Homer" Richardson
NASHUA – Wilfred H. “Homer” Richardson, age 99, beloved husband of the late Marjorie G. (Gardner) Richardson died Saturday at Benchmark Senior Living in Billerica, MA.
He was born in Orono, Maine, Nov 6, 1921 a son of the late Alvin and Inez (Varney) Richardson and lived in Framingham before moving to Nashua 30 years ago.
Homer served in the US Army during WW II in the Quartermaster Corps. attaining the rank of TSGT and obtained his CPA from Bentley University before going to work as a Branch Audit Manager for Employers Insurance of Wausau.
He was proud to have been included in an Honor Flight with his guide Adam Sexton and in his spare time enjoyed golfing, bird watching, the Cape, wonderful Sunday family dinners (always with a doggie bag) and spoiling his grand dog.
Homer is survived by his devoted daughter, Leslie Napoli and her husband Charles of Billerica, one sister, Ruth Richardson of San Diego, CA, and many special nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Hilda Hill, Barbara Guay and Robert and Alvin Richardson, Jr.
Homer’s Funeral Service will be held Saturday August 14, at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica, MA at 1 p.m. Visitation will be held from 12 – 1p.m. prior to the service. Burial with military honors will follow in the Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
