Obituary for Warren "Sluggo" Davis Sr.
Warren C. Davis Sr. – Age 74, beloved husband of Jane E. (Egan) Davis for almost 50 years died Tuesday at their home with his family by his side.
He was born in Arlington, June 13, 1944, a son of Warren Davis of Rockland, ME and the late Evelyn (Bamberg) Davis. He was raised in Billerica and lived in Chelmsford for many years before moving to Tyngsborough 14 years ago.
Warren was an exceptional husband, father, grandfather and friend. He worked for General Electric for 41 years as a Mechanical Engineer. He was an avid golfer, sailor and craftsman who loved spending time with family and friends playing dominos. Warren was remarkable at solving and fixing anything that came his way, he was always quick to lend a hand to anyone in need.
Besides his wife and father, Warren is survived by his children, Jennifer Fraser and her husband Brian of Chelmsford and Warren “Chris” Davis Jr. and his wife Kerry of Medway; his cherished grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Becca Fraser and Cole, Emma and Molly Davis and his special God Child, Ashley Russas; his brothers, Ralph Davis of Tewksbury, Stanley Davis of Woburn, Charles Davis of Kissimmee, FL, Russell Davis of N. Billerica and Stephen Davis of Waldoboro, ME; his sisters, Nancy Wells of St. Albans, VT, Nina McEwen of Stewartsville, NJ and Laura Wiley of Tenants Harbor, ME and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Gary Davis.
DAVIS – Of Tyngsborough, July 31, Warren “Sluggo” C. Davis Sr., A Funeral Service will be held Saturday at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, 14 Treble Cove Rd., N. Billerica at 11 a.m. The family will be greeting relatives and friends from 10-11 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jimmy Fund, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Ayer.
