Obituary for Warren J. Joyce Jr.
JOYCE - Warren J. Joyce Jr., age 62, husband of Janette (Weber) Joyce died at their home on Wednesday, March 31, 2010.
He was born in Cambridge, MA February 21, 1948 son of the late Warren J. Sr. and Frances M. (Kelley) Joyce and lived in Tewksbury prior to moving to Billerica in 1976.
Mr. Joyce served in the US Navy and was stationed in Japan and Guam during the Vietnam War, was an Electrical Engineer in the high tech field for many years and more recently worked part time at O'Connor Hardware in Billerica.
When his son was younger, Mr. Joyce was an active parent with Boy Scout Troop 30 in Billerica, a former member of the Billerica Friends of Music and had been an assistant coach with the Billerica Little League.
Besides his wife he is survived by one son, Matthew Joyce and his wife Amy of Nashua; one daughter Kristen Splaine and her husband Jonathan of Lowell; one sister Deborah de Carvalho of Wrentham and one granddaughter, Hannah Joyce. He also leaves behind his mother-in-law, Beryl Hunt of Dracut.
JOYCE - Of Billerica formerly of Tewksbury, March 31, Warren Joyce Jr. A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 10, at St. Patrick's Cemetery, 1251 Gorham St., Lowell at 10 a.m. Immediately following the service will be a celebration of Warren's life at the Naked Fish Restaurant in Billerica.
