Walter H. Henderson – Age 91, husband of the late Evelyn (Warren) Henderson died peacefully, Wednesday, December 28 at Care One in Wilmington.
He was born in Boston, April 20, 1931, a son of the late Everett and Ethel (Brown) Henderson and lived in S. Boston and Winthrop before he moved to Billerica with his sister, the late Dorothy Annese 30 years ago.
Walter was employed as a Postal Worker for the U.S. Post Office for over 25 years at the Boston Office.
He is survived by his sister, Susan Portentoso of Mashpee and his loving nieces and nephews and their families.
A graveside service with military honors will be held Wednesday, January 4 at the Melrose Cemetery, 88 N. Pearl St., Brockton at 12:15 p.m. Please meet at the cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Walter’s name to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org
