Obituary for Walter E. Megowen
Walter E. Megowen Jr.– Age 84, loving husband of the late Patricia D. (Thomas) Megowen to whom he was married to for 58 years died April 21 at the Radius Northwood Nursing Home in Lowell following a period of declining health. He was born in Alton, IL, June 20, 1928, the son of the late Walter E. Megowen Sr. and Mary (Miller) Megowen and lived in Billerica for over 50 years. Mr. Megowen served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. Mr. Megowen was employed at their family owned business, Megowen Educator Biscuit Co. and retired from the Pellon Corp./ Freudenberg Nonwovens in Lowell. He is survived by his children, David Megowen of Dracut, Sharon Megowen of Amsterdam, Holland and Thomas Megowen of Merrimack, NH. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
