Obituary for Walter W. Derochers
WALTER W. DEROCHERS – Age 58, died Tuesday at the Southern New Hampshire Medical Center after a valiant battle with cancer.
He was born in Lowell, October 9, 1959, a son of the late Alfred E. and Marie A. (Petitpas) Derochers. He was raised in Billerica, MA and lived there most of his life before moving to Nashua, NH.
He was employed for over 30 years as a Truck Driver before his illness. He was active in the community and coached many youth sports teams.
Walter Derochers is survived by his children, Christina Bennison and her husband James of Dracut, MA, Michael Derochers of Dracut, MA, and Daniel Derochers of Billerica, MA; his loving girlfriend Shari Rutkowski of Nashua, NH; his brothers, Alfred Derochers of Atlanta, GA, John Derochers of San Antonio, TX, Paul Derochers of Moultonborough, NH, David Derochers of Tyngsborough, MA, and George Derochers of Dracut, MA; his sisters, Marie Anne Turcotte of Chicago, IL, Elizabeth Worcester of Methuen, MA, Rose Marie Dumas of VT, Cathy Haynes of Methuen, MA, and Claire Williams of Woburn, MA. He was the brother of the late Edward Derochers and Jeannette White. He is also survived by the mother of his children and former wife Kathy Derochers as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Arrangements will now be private and held at the convenience of the family.
