Obituary for Virginia M. Bourque
BILLERICA – Virginia M. “Regina” (Surette) Bourque, age 93, wife of the late Albert F. Bourque died Tuesday at Woodbriar of Wilmington. She was born in Sluice Point, Nova Scotia, Canada, April 4, 1920 a daughter of the late J. Actime and M. Anita (Bourque) Surette, and lived in Halifax before moving to Billerica in 1966. Mrs. Bourque was a devout catholic and long time parishioner of St. Theresa Church in Billerica, and belonged to a local Rosary group that visited the home bound and those in local nursing homes. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and traveling back to Nova Scotia with her late husband. She loved spending time with family and friends, including those at Woodbriar who will miss her warm smile. Mrs. Bourque is survived by two sons, Raymond Bourque of Nashua,NH and Charlie Bourque of Fairbanks, AK; four daughters, Cecile Gorman of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Lorraine Hendrix of Londonderry, NH, Patricia Brouillard of North Pole, AK and Suzanne Bourque of Billerica; one brother, Alfred Surette of Sluice Point, Nova Scotia; two sisters, Frances Surette of Sluice Point, Nova Scotia and Marion Surette of Halifax, Nova Scotia, as well as 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late Louis Surette, Rose Emma Sowyrda, Lena Robichaud, Irene Surette and Evelyn Comeau. Funeral Saturday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 8 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Theresa Church, Billerica at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Friday from 4 – 7 p.m. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, N. Tewksbury.
