Obituary for Virginia 'Ginni' Johnson
Virginia “Gini” Johnson – Age 80, Loving wife of Jay Johnson died Thursday, Dec. 8 in Port Charlotte, Florida after a brief illness. Mrs. Johnson was born in Manchester, NH, January 23, 1931, the daughter of the late Vernon C. and Gladys (LaCoss) French. She was a long time resident of Billerica living in the community for 50 years. She held various positions in the town and retired as the Secretary for the Personnel Board. She was a passionate member of the First Congregational Church, having at one time added her beautiful voice to the church choir. She also enjoyed her work with the ladies group, Aim High and cherished the many projects they worked on. Besides her husband, Mrs. Johnson is survived by her children, Kim Johnson of Winchendon and her son, Scott Johnson and his wife Kimberly of Andover and her most precious granddaughter, Riley Johnson and her brother, Vernon French of Milton, NH. She also leaves many dear friends and extended family. JOHNSON – Virginia “Gini” Johnson, Visiting hours will be held Monday at the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 4-7 p.m. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at the First Congregational Church, 18 Andover Rd., Billerica at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
