Victoria M. Mahoney – Age 79, beloved wife of Joseph J. Mahoney died Tuesday, June 6 at the Massachusetts General Hospital with her family at her side.
She was born in Boston, June 14, 1943, a daughter of the late Ella Stanley and was raised in Somerville and moved to Billerica 16 years ago.
Victoria (Gig) was employed as an After School Coordinator for the City of Somerville for many years prior to her retirement. She was an active member of the Billerica Senior Center.
Besides her husband, Victoria is survived by her son, William Mahoney of Billerica; daughters, Tammi Gomes and Ella Silva of Billerica and Janice Meehan of Attleboro; her brother, Joseph Samaro of Hampton, NH; her sisters, Christine Dempsey of Groveland and Suzan Miller of Rochester, NH and is also survived by her 17 grandchildren, five great grandchildren many foster children over her lifetime.
A private graveside service was held at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
