Obituary for Vera A Forsyth
METHUEN – Vera A. (McKay) Forsyth, age 80, beloved wife of 60 years of the late Robert O. Forsyth, who died May 7, died Friday at her home of a broken heart.
She was born in Boston, February 22, 1936 a daughter of the late Ralph R. and Abbie L. (Coffey) McKay and lived in North Billerica, from 1957 – 1998 retiring with her husband to Santa Rosa Beach, FL and most recently moving to Methuen 2 years ago.
Mrs. Forsyth was a stock room clerk and supervisor for Tautron Electronics, was active with the Billerica Little League running the concession stand at the field named after her late husband at Billerica’s Vining Elementary School.
She was an animal lover especially enjoying her cats but was most known for her dedication to her family.
She is survived by two daughters, Robin Sullivan and her husband Lenny of Methuen, MA with whom she made her home, and Terry Savage and her husband Gary of Hudson, NH; one son, Robert O. Forsyth Jr. and his wife Lisa of DeBary, FL; eight grandchildren, Lenny Sullivan III and his wife Cassandra, Andrew Sullivan and his wife Anthi, Katie Collins and her husband Michael, Samantha Savage, Jesse Savage and his fiancé Rhianna Moyen, and Brittany, Bobby and Amber Forsyth; four great-grandchildren, Carter and Trevor Sullivan and Michael and Jack Collins as well as her sister Arlene Bucci of Punta Gorda, FL.
FORSYTH - Of Methuen, MA, formerly of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida and North Billerica, MA, May 27, Vera A. (McKay) Forsyth. A Celebration of her life will be held Tuesday at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica, MA from 4 – 7 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. It being her wish all other services will be held privately and at the convenience of her family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the MSPCA, 350 South Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130.
