Obituary for Tracey A. Cuzzupe
Billerica, Massachusetts

Tracey Arleen Cuzzupe, 42, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on December 30th, 2020. She was born on June 29th, 1978 in Cambridge, Massachusetts to Chyrel and David Gallagher. She was welcomed home by her brother, Craig. She had the kind of big brother who shared his Halloween candy and always looked out for her. To her parents, she was their sunshine and was adored every minute of her life.

She was raised in Arlington, Massachusetts where she attended local schools before obtaining her Bachelors from the University of Massachusetts and her Masters from Lesley University in early childhood education. She had a special knack for working with children and would often speak of how proud she was to be able to impact their lives. Her gentle nature, childlike love of life and nurturing encouragement made her a favorite to many.

Beyond the classroom, Tracey’s friendships were deep and loyal. She had a way of lighting up a room and was well known for her expansive kindness, good humor, optimism and humility. Tracey loved to belly dance and actually performed in New York, Oregon and Massachusetts.

In 2014 Tracey married the love of her life when she and husband Paul Cuzzupe said “I do”. Paul truly epitomized his vows to cherish her in sickness and in health. Diagnosed with breast cancer just months after they were married, theirs was a path with unique challenges and surprising tenderness. Paul taught Tracey to fly fish, could always make her laugh and never missed a chance to remind her how beautiful she was.

Never having children of her own, Tracey lavished her maternal love and care on her nieces, cousins, step children and step grandchildren. She strived to have an impact and wanted each of them to feel special. Her love also extended to furry friends and there was no more fortunate dog than her dog Rosco. Rosco was showered with such tenderness and care that he was the envy of the canine world.

Due in large part to her unfaltering belief in the resurrection and Jehovah's love Tracey approached her illness with acceptance and grace. Most often her concerns were for how those around her were doing. She lived her life with such gratefulness, enjoying the simple things in life and always giving thanks to God.

She leaves behind many heartbroken friends and family members too numerous to name and will be greeted at the pearly gates by many others. She joins our Lord in heaven and will shine brightly down upon us until we meet again.

It being her request all services will be held privately and at the convenience of her family with a celebration of her life to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Joe Andruzzi Foundation, www.joeandruzzifoundation.org or to the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation www.tnbcfoundation.org
