He graduated from Matignon High School, Class of 1961, and earned both a Bachelor's and Master’s Degree from Boston State College. Tom had an esteemed career spanning six decades as an educator and school administrator, impacting countless students, families and faculty. He first served as a history teacher at the Southern Junior High School and Somerville High School and finished his long public service career as the Headmaster of Somerville High School. Tom was an avid reader, a gifted storyteller with a quick wit, and a true people person who brought joy and laughter to those around him. A lifelong Boston sports fan, he especially loved cheering on the Celtics and Red Sox. He enjoyed traveling with his wife Ginny across the United States and Europe and especially treasured their springtime visits to Maui. Above all, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life with his wife and hosting family and friends at his summer home in East Dennis.
