Obituary for Thomas F. Costello
Thomas F. Costello – Age 75, beloved partner of Barbara A. Murphy died Sunday at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
He was born in Providence, RI, August 24, 1944, a son of the late Patrick and Gladys Costello and was raised in Providence before moving to Salem and then Lowell 23 years ago.
Prior to his retirement, Thomas was employed as a Chef at many restaurants ending his career as the Head Chef at Palm Manor in Chelmsford. He was an avid Boston sports fan having played hockey while at Boston University. He was an accomplished musician having played the guitar for many years in bands and restaurants and always enjoyed entertaining children at gatherings making them laugh, especially Samantha and Adyson who always brought him joy and made him laugh and according to Tom “they are my best medicine”.
He will be missed by Barbara's family, Frank Murphy his late wife Gloria, Kenneth Murphy and his wife Michelle and her nephew Matthew Murphy and his partner Alexandria Stambaugh and Barbara's many cousins and friends. He was the former husband of Heidi Costello and brother of the late Michael Costello.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
