Obituary for Thomas A. Condon
THOMAS A. CONDON Retired Billerica Teacher Thomas A. Condon – Age 78, husband of the late Constance M. (Cambray) Condon died Saturday at the Lowell General Hospital. Mr. Condon was born in Lowell, February 2, 1935, the son of the late John and Mary (Kirvin) Condon. He was raised in Billerica and was the President of the Class of 1952 at the Billerica Memorial High School. He then served in the Air Force during the Korean War. After living in Billerica, Mr. Condon later lived in Pepperell, Tewksbury, Chelmsford and Nashua. After the military, Mr. Condon worked at Raytheon for nine years and then became a teacher having worked at the Marshall Middle School in Billerica for 21 years and retired in 1991. He later worked at the Billerica Country Club in the proshop and as a golf instructor. He enjoyed golfing, camping, playing tennis and was an avid sports fan. Mr. Condon is survived by his sisters, Mary Jacobs of CT and Nora McLaughlin of OH; his sisters-in-law, Claire Condon and Geraldine Condon; his brothers-in-law, Paul Cambray of York Beach, ME, Joseph Cambray of Dracut, Roger Cambray of CO and Robert Cambray of Hyannis; his stepchildren, Alice Germain of Lowell, Michael Hastings of Chelmsford, Deborah Pare of Manchester, NH and Faith Polk of Lowell;. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews including Constance, Jeffrey, James and Karen Cambray and 11 godchildren. Mr. Condon was the brother of the late John, Joseph, Bud and Ellen Condon. He will be missed by his dear friends Forrest and Nila Stickney. CONDON – of Chelmsford, May 11, Thomas A. Condon, Visiting hours will be held Monday at the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 4-7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday at St. Andrew’s Church, Talbot Ave., N. Billerica at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lowell Humane Society, 951 Broadway St., Lowell, MA 01854 or the Paralyzed Veterans of America, 7 Mill Brook Rd., Wilton, NH 03086. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell.
