Obituary for Thomas R. Simone Jr.
Thomas R. Simone Jr. – age 79, beloved husband of Delores A. (Garofono) Simone died unexpectedly Friday at the Lahey Hospital in Burlington.
He was born in Canandaigua, NY, October 28, 1942, the son of the late Thomas R. Simone Sr. and Bette (Bennett) Simone and lived in Rochester, New York before moving to Billerica four years ago. He proudly served in the U.S. Marines from 1959-1964.
Tom was employed for Eastman Kodak in Rochester, NY for many years before his retirement.
Besides his wife, Tom is survived by his son, Thomas D. Simone (Michelle) of Billerica; his daughter, Tracy Simone (Diane) of Leominster; his brothers, David Simone (Donna) of NY and Robert Simone (Mona) of FL; his sister, Marilyn McKenna of NC and his four grandchildren.
A service will be held Tuesday, February 1 at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen St., Winchendon at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org
