Obituary for Thomas R. Posney
Tom Posney, Age 71, of Billerica, MA passed away Friday, August 6 after a brief illness. He was employed by Standard Electric, a division of US Electric Inc. as a Senior Commercial-Industrial Contract Specialist.
Tom was a 1968 graduate of Hal-Brack High School and was a graduate of St. Vincent College, class of 1972. He took many educational courses, including the Wholesale Executive Management Program at Ohio State University.
He started his career at the family business, Posney Electric and spent 15 years at Allied Electric before joining Standard Electric where he worked for over 25 years.
He enjoyed traveling all the New England states, was an avid music lover and a licensed Ham Radio operator for over 50 years. He especially enjoyed spending time with his dog Belle.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Marilynn A. (Duster) Posney of Billerica, MA, formerly of Tarentum, PA; his brother, James (Jane Ann) Posney of Natrona Heights, PA; his niece, Kayla Posney and her companion, Regis Loeser of McCandless Township, PA. His extended family, J. Rodney duster and his companion, Deborah Stephenson of Natrona Heights, PA, R. Gary Duster (Marie) of Freeport, PA; D. Kathlynn (Richard) Glogowski of Lower Burrell, PA and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas A. and Wilma (Kuchta) Posney and his sister, Linda (Ron) Spinelli.
