Thelma A. Jurewicz – age 83, wife of the late Frank E. Jurewicz died peacefully Friday, September 26 at the Brightview Senior Living in Billerica.
She was born in Waltham, March 22, 1942, a daughter of the late Norman E. and Ruth T. (Merklee) Carter and was raised in Waltham and lived in Winchester for many years before moving to Billerica seven years ago.
Thelma worked for Canada Dry, where she met her late husband and later worked for Stop & Shop in Winchester for 21 years before her retirement. She was an avid Red Sox Fan and loved to watch the games. She enjoyed reading romance novels and baking. She loved her family dearly.
She is survived by her son, David Jurewicz and his wife Susan of Bedford, and her daughter, Susan and her husband James of Billerica and her two grandsons, David Jr and Ryan Jurewicz.
Visiting hours will be held Monday, September 29 at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 4-7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Thelma’s name to Beacon Hospice Care, 290 Merrimack St. #242, Lawrence, MA 01843.
