Terrence Daurie, 65, of Billerica, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 1, 2026, leaving behind a family who loved him deeply and a community that will miss him dearly.
Born on August 23, 1960, in Somerville, Massachusetts, Terry was the son of the late Paul and Joan (Quinlan) Daurie. He was raised in Medford, Massachusetts where he formed lifelong friendships and cherished memories, before raising his own family in Billerica.
Terry was a skilled carpenter who took pride in his trade and was dedicated to his craft. He spent years contributing and building communities within his trade, always supportive and proud of his Local 51 union. He had spent many years working for Freeman Carter before moving on to his longtime career at the MBTA. His integrity, knowledge and skill in his trade was appreciated by everyone.
Terry was a devoted father who loved his children beyond measure. He will be remembered for his contagious laugh, generous heart, and the warmth he always brought to every room. His kindness left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
He is survived by his children, Katryna Daurie and Ashley Daurie of Billerica, MA and Christopher Daurie of Derry, NH; his sister, Susan Daurie and her wife, Krone Weidler of Daytona, FL and his niece, Shannon O’Hearn of Chelsea, MA. He was predeceased by his brother, Michael Daurie, and sister, Charlotte O’Hearn.
Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, March 4 at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica, MA from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions towards funeral expenses are greatly appreciated and may be directed to the family.
