Obituary for Sydney Lee
Sydney Lee - Age 69, wife of the late Francis C. Lee died Sunday at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill after a courageous battle with cancer.She was born in Arlington, November 6, 1940, the daughter of the late Arthur and Lucille (Jodice) Cooper and lived in Arlington and Billerica before moving to Tewksbury 12 years ago. Sydney's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. She was a strong-willed person who loved life and lived it to the fullest. Aside from reading and traveling, her greatest love was spending time with her many friends both old and new and enjoying her children and grandchildren, providing them with many life experiences and joy.Mrs. Lee is survived by and will be lovingly missed by her sons, Steven Lee and his wife Iris of Dracut and James Lee of St. Louis, MO; her daughter, Sandra Call and her husband Neil of Haverhill; her brothers, Arthur and Richard Cooper of Arlington; 4 grandchildren, Brian and Alycia McAdams and Jessica and Matthew Lee. Mrs. Lee was the mother of the late Michael Lee and sister of the late Delores Langer and Paul and Charles Cooper.LEE - Of Tewksbury, June 13, Sydney (Cooper) Lee. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack St., Building 9, Entrance I, Lawrence, MA 01843. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
