Obituary for Steven T. Garrity
Billerica – Steven T. Garrity – Age 80, husband of the late Jane A. (Haggerty) Garrity died Sunday at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill.
He was born in Cambridge, January 8, 1938, the son of the late Timothy and Mary A. (Kearney) Garrity and was raised in Cambridge before moving to Billerica 51 years ago.
Mr. Garrity was employed by Verizon as a Lineman for 40 years before his retirement. He was a member of Local IBEW and the Billerica Lodge of Elks.
He is survived by his son, Sean Garrity and his wife Susan of Merrimack, NH; his daughter, Sharon Garrity of Billerica; his grandchildren, Christina Sawlivich, Molly and Timothy Flood and Candace and Cassandra Melanson and his son-in-law, Thomas Joyce. He was the father of the late Stephanie Melanson-Joyce.
GARRITY – Of Billerica, June 10, Steven T. Garrity, A graveside service will be held Friday, June 15, at the Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Rd., Billerica at 2 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Billerica Lodge of Elks immediately following. Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Garrity’s name to the High Pointe Hospice House, c/o Home Health Foundation, 360 Merrimack St., Bld. 9, Lawrence, MA 01843.
