Stephen F. Dussault – age 72, beloved husband of Joanne (DiPietro) Dussault died unexpectedly Monday, Oct. 7 at the Lahey Hospital in Burlington.
Steve was born in Boston on August 20, 1952. A son of the late Joseph and Charlotte (Borges) Dussault and was raised in Cambridge by his late Aunt and Uncle William and Emily Colby. He moved to Billerica in 1977.
Steve was employed as an Electrician for the City of Cambridge and retired in 2014. Steve's most important role in life was being a husband, father and papa. He was a devoted family man and was always there for his family. Steve loved music. He taught himself how to play the guitar and joined a number of bands in his lifetime. He was a great musician. His passion for building matched with his work ethic was unparalleled. This exceptional skill set has touched the hearts of many. He lives on through his craftsmanship. Steve also loved to take long, scenic rides in his sports car. Whether it was to grab a pizza or just a leisurely weekend cruise, he loved being behind the wheel.
Besides his wife, Stephen is survived by his children, Chris Dussault and his wife Lauren of Wakefield and Kerry Barrett and her husband Josh of Lynnfield; his brother, Tom Dussault of Bedford; his sister, Anne Vandersea of NY; and his four grandchildren, Tess, Ellie, Blakely and Brynnlee. He also leaves behind a very special cousin, Shirley Sullivan of Harwich Port, and his in-laws, Janice and Gerry Celli of Billerica, Judy and Michael Denzer of Westminster and Joseph and Nancy DiPietro of Maine/Florida. Also, very special nieces Kaitlyn and her husband Chris Crutcher of Atlanta and Laura and her husband Jimmy Brisebois and great nephew Brody of Westminster. He was the brother of the late Joseph and Robert Dussault.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday, Oct. 10 at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 4-7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish at St. Theresa Church, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica at 10 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Stephen’s name to the Make a Wish Foundation, www.wish.org His burial will take place at the Fox Hill Cemetery in Billerica.
