Obituary for Stephen W. Roy
Stephen W. Roy, Age 66, died Thursday at the Greenbriar Rehab and Healthcare in Nashua, NH after a long illness.
He was born in Lowell, October 22, 1954, a son of the late Roland and Lorraine A. (Sands) Roy and was raised in Billerica and has lived in New Hampshire for many years.
Stephen was employed as a Truck Driver for his family’s business, Roy Brother’s Truck in Billerica for over 40 years prior to his retirement. He was a lover of music and enjoyed playing the guitar.
He is survived by his sister, Michele Churchill of Auburn, NH; his brother, Mark Roy of RI and is also survived by many nieces and nephews and his former wife Kathleen A. Ferry and her two children, Kayla and Katelyn. He was the brother of the late Gary Roy.
His funeral will be held Monday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 9 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish at St. Mary Church at 10 a.m. Per current CDC and State Guidelines face coverings will be required at all venues and attendees must sign up to attend the Funeral Mass at https://cli.re/ccb-funeral-signup
Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 1-4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Stephen’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
