Obituary for Stephen A. Pope
Stephen A. Pope – Age 64, beloved husband of Janice L. (Lee) Pope died unexpectedly Monday at the Lahey Hospital.
He was born in Seattle, WA, August 7, 1951, a son of the late Donald A. and Virginia L. (Mayer) Pope and was raised in Tewksbury before moving to Billerica 33 years ago. Mr. Pope served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Pope was employed in the Sales Division of WW Grainger in Woburn for 43 years. He was a former Little League Coach in Billerica.
Besides his wife, Mr. Pope is survived by his sons, Stephen Lee and his wife Sheri of Billerica, Eric Lee and his wife Lori of Norton, Christopher Pope of Lowell, Robert Pope of Jacksonville, FL, Daniel Pope, Kevin Pope and his wife Angela, Matthew Pope and Scott Pope all of Billerica; his daughters, Alicia and Jennifer Pope of Billerica and Kristina Markt; his brothers, Jan Pope and his wife Carol of Swampscott and Hans Pope of North Attleboro; his sisters, Linda and her husband Rick Guseman of Taunton and Diana Pope of Billerica; his grandchildren, James, Matthew, Avery and Andrew Pope, Samantha, Jessica, Ryan and Aubrey Lee and Arianna and Daniel Balba. He was the grandfather of the late Jillian Lee.
POPE – Of Billerica, unexpectedly April 4, Stephen A. Pope, Funeral Saturday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 8 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Church at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Friday from 3-7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Pope’s name to the Billerica Little League, P.O.
