Obituary for Stanley V. Figelski
Stanley V. Figelski – Age 86, husband of the late Dorothy H. (Nowicki) Figelski died Saturday at Lowell General Hospital – Saints Campus.
He was born in Chelsea, September 11, 1930 a son of the late Victor and Stella (Bednarek) Figelski and lived in Chelsea before moving to Billerica 53 years ago. Mr. Figelski proudly served in the Army with the First Calvary during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion.
He was employed as a Machinist for Converse Rubber for 30 years and later worked for Kraft General Foods until his retirement. He loved Polka Dancing with his wife and Polish food, gardening and was very musical and liked to play instruments and was known for his ability to build anything.
Mr. Figelski is survived by his children, Dr. Kathleen Shank and her husband Charles of Tyngsborough, Nancy Kelley and her companion, Ken Krauss of Billerica, Robert Figelski and his wife Amy of Boxford and Lisa Lynn and her husband Barry of Mentor, OH; his brother, Frank Figelski of Manchester, NH and eight grandchildren, Michael, Daniel, Sarah, Samantha, Jordan, Zachary, Abigail and Amber.
FIGELSKI – Of Billerica, Dec. 10, Stanley V. Figelski, Funeral Friday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd, Billerica at 8 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Theresa Church at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4-7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
