Shannon T. Lally of Lowell, age 49, died Thursday, September 28,2023. He was born in Miami, Florida, February 9, 1974 the son of the late John P. Lally and Joanne (Swartz) Lally.
As a child Shannon was fun loving, curious and bright. He was his mother's pride and joy and the apple of her eye. Shannon always lived his life on his own terms even when the circumstances weren't ideal. He lived each day in the moment. In early adulthood, Shannon, unfortunately experienced a severe head injury which left him dealing with mental health issues the remainder of his life. He wanted a carefree lifestyle with no problems and no worries and that's how he lived his life. He wasn't concerned with traditional societal trappings which was of great concern to many people, but to Shannon it was okay. Although he was homeless a great deal of the time he enjoyed the people he met, the friends he made and the freedom to do whatever he chose to do on any given day. He was loved by his family and others and we hope he is no longer wandering but is reunited with his parents and is at peace and happy.
He is survived by his Uncle and Aunt Robert and Margaret Hamel of Nashua, NH, James and Cheryl Lally of Billerica, MA, and Aunt Mary Lally of Billerica, MA. He is also survived by numerous cousins.
All services will be private and held at the convenience of his family.
